NEW JERSEY – The Hotel and Gaming Trades Council, AFL-CIO (HTC) has endorsed Congressman Rob Menendez for re-election in the 2026 cycle.
“Rob Menendez is a proven ally of working people, and we could not be prouder to endorse him for reelection,” said HTC President Rich Maroko. “At a time when working people are under attack, we need to send our best fighters to DC. For our members living in the 8th Congressional District, Rob is that fighter.”
“I am honored to earn the support of HTC,” said Congressman Menendez. “Our hospitality industry workers are a critical part of our economy, and I have always fought for them to receive the respect, dignity, and rights that they deserve. I will never let up the fight for the right to organize, for better wages, and for the safety of our hospitality workers. I will always stand with organized labor and every working family in New Jersey.”
HTC represents nearly 40,000 non-managerial hospitality and gaming employees working in all departments, in Northern New Jersey and in New York. HTC’s members come from many nations and backgrounds and speak more than 50 languages.
Since being elected to Congress, Menendez has supported important labor legislation such as the PRO Act and fought for working families to have access to affordable, quality healthcare, stable housing, a clean environment and a fair shot at the American dream. He is a member of the Congressional Labor Caucus and holds a 100% lifetime score from the AFL-CIO.
