JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Today, Jersey City Councilwomen Denise Ridley and Mira Prinz-Arey announced their endorsement of Rep. Rob Menendez for re-election to Congress.
The councilwomen join a broad range of elected officials who represent Jersey City that have previously endorsed Rep. Menendez, including State Senator Raj Mukerji, State Senator Angela McKnight, Assemblyman Will Sampson, Assemblywoman Barbara McCann Stamato, Assemblywoman Jessica Ramirez, County Commissioner Bill O’Dea, County Commissioner Yriada Aponte-Lipski, County Commissioner Jerry Walker, County Commissioner Anthony Romano, and Jersey City Councilman Danny Rivera.
“In just one term, Rob has proven that he is dedicated to the residents of the 8th District,” said Councilwoman Denise Ridley. “Whether it was bringing more federal funding to local housing authorities to assist with housing disparities or supporting higher education by providing additional finances to Hudson County Community College, our Congressman has shown up. He understands the needs of our district and takes his experiences as a resident with him to DC. I’m proud of the work the Congressman has done and am proud that he is not only our congressional representative, but also our neighbor in Ward A. I am asking our Jersey City residents to support our Congressman, neighbor, and friend by sending Rob back to the Hill to represent us.”
